Since his superb rise last season, which saw him break into the top 30 at just 20 years of age, he ended the year by winning the ATP Next Gen Finals title, promising a very bright future. And he seems to be living up to expectations, having caused an upset in this Masters 1000 tournament by beating two top 20 players, Ben Shelton and A. Davidovich Fokina, in two three-set matches. Facing the Italian is a real challenge for the young player, as he lost to him in the final of the Beijing tournament last season. With more experience under his belt, he should give his all in this match.
Jannik Sinner, meanwhile, has won 100% of his matches here in just two sets against D. Svrcina, D. Shapovalov, and J. Fonseca.
