The Los Angeles Sparks (15-17) visit the Dallas Wings (9-24) on August 15, Friday, at the College Park Center.
This is only the second time that the Sparks and the Wings will face each other this season. Their first matchup ended in a Sparks' 93-79 victory. All five Sparks starters scored in double digits in that win, with Azura Stevens and Dearica Hambry scoring 21 and 20 points, respectively.
However, the Sparks are coming off a 105-97 loss to the New York Liberty. They're currently on the playoff bubble, so they need every win they can get moving forward. It helps that they don't have any names on their injury report, so they're on full force to get that playoff spot.
As for the Wings, they're virtually out of playoff contention. But they recently put a stop to a five-game skid with an 81-80 victory over the Indiana Fever. Maddy Siegrist and Li Yueru scored 22 and 20 points, respectively, while Paige Bueckers produced 16 points, 5 rebounds, and 8 assists.
Bueckers is listed on the Wings' injury report for some time now, but it's almost a sure thing that she'll play. However, Arike Ogunbowale and Tyasha Harris are listed out for Friday's game against the Sparks.
