The Los Angeles Sparks (19-20) visit the Atlanta Dream (26-14) on Wednesday, September 3, at the Gateway Center Arena.
This is only the second time that the Dream and Sparks will face each other this season. In their first game back on May 27, the Dream defeated the Sparks, 88-82.
The Dream have also won back-to-back games, including a recent 93-76 victory over the Connecticut Sun. They actually trailed the Sun by six points at halftime, but a strong second half eventually carried them through.
Five Dream players scored in double digits in the win, including a game-high 23 points from Rhyne Howard. Allisha Gray and Naz Hillmon contributed 17 points apiece. Jordin Canada, who missed almost a month due to injury, came back to tally 15 points in 20 minutes of play.
On the other end, the Sparks are also on a mini two-game winning streak. They just carved out a 91-85 victory over the Seattle Storm. Dearica Hamby produced an impressive outing of 27 points and 11 rebounds, making 13 of her 18 attempts.
Rickea Jackson tallied 23 markers in the Sparks win, while Kelsey Plum and Rae Burrell added 14 and 11 points, respectively. Jackson is listed day-to-day in the team's injury report, but there's a good chance that she will play.
