Katarzyna Kawa vs Paula Badosa Prediction & Picks - WTA Hamburg Open

There's a very interesting match due to take place at the WTA event in Hamburg, Germany on Wednesday, when Katarzyna Kawa and Paula Badosa will clash. Badosa, who is a much better player her current rank, looked all set to win her second straight clay-court tournament last week, but she fell at the final hurdle, retiring from her match against Mayar Sherif thanks to injury.

If both players were clearly fit and at 100%, then you'd have to fancy the Spaniard to win this, but she looked in some discomfort less than a week ago, so it's hard to think that Badosa will be at 100%, and let's face it, if that's the case, Kawa is good enough to make this a severe test. The Polish player isn't in the habit of losing comfortably on clay, and given that her opponent has fitness issues right now, she's worth betting on to, at the very least, avoid a defeat by anything more than a three-game margin, especially at odds of -125, which could (and probably should) be shorter.
