The defending Super Bowl Champions, the Seattle Seahawks, will host one of the current odds-on favorites to make the big game on Sunday night. The Kansas City Chiefs will march into town and look to remain undefeated this season.
The Seahawks went 2-1 to start the season, but have dropped 2 of their last 3 games. Their 32-29 loss to the 49ers was respectable, but their most recent loss to the Broncos has many in Seattle scratching their heads. Sam Darnold has not looked as good as he did last season, and the run game has certainly not been the same. The reason for that is now on this Kansas City team. Kenneth Walker was let go and promptly scooped up by the Chiefs. He is now one of the top running backs in the league, statistically speaking.
The Chiefs are loving their new toy in Walker. He is averaging 133 yards per game on the ground and has scored 8 total touchdowns. He has been able to take the pressure off Mahomes, who is coming off knee surgery over the offseason. Combined, they are 2nd in the league in total yards per game. That said, it has really been the defense that has been the difference maker. The Chiefs are allowing just 16.6 points per game, which is 2nd in the entire NFL.

The offenses seem to be finding their footing in the recent history between these two teams. We expect more of the same in this game. Walker is going to be running with purpose and should be able to spark the Chiefs' offense. The only way we see Seattle staying close is by Darnold having success through the air. Kansas City is near the bottom of the league in sacks, and if they allow Darnold to play without pressure, he will pick them apart. Give us the over here on Sunday night.
