One final match that I'm interested in, at least from a betting point of view, on Monday is the one between Kamilla Rakhimova and Sorana Cirstea, which takes place at the WTA event in Cluj, Romania, officially known as the Transylvania Open. This is a match between players who both struggled to get going at the Australian Open, with Rakhimova falling at the first hurdle, while Cirstea lost in the second round. 

Having failed to make any serious progress at the first Grand Slam of the 2026 season, both players have a more realistic task in Romania, though it must be said that this looks like a much larger opportunity for Cirstea than Rakhimova. For starters, Cirstea is easily ranked above Rakhimova, while she's ranked in such a position that she simply must be thought of as one of the players who could go all the way this week, especially as she's playing on home soil. The Romanian has only previously reached one WTA final, but she can begin to make a serious go of reaching a second by getting the job done here.
