After playing out a classic last week, Inter and Barcelona will clash in the second leg of the UEFA Champions League semi-finals on Tuesday. The pair will meet at the iconic soccer venue of San Siro, where both will be hoping to clinch a place in the final. Having held their own despite being largely unfancied by the betting market a week ago, the hosts have given themselves a fighting chance of being successful on their own pitch, but can they do enough defensively against a supremely dangerous opponent?
For the visitors, it was all about attack last week, and that will likely be the case in the city of Milan too. Hansi Flick's men are at their best when forcing teams back, so we can expect the game to follow a similar pattern to what we saw in Barcelona, with the Catalonians pushing forward, before trying to suffocate the hosts, preventing them from breaking too quickly. Following what was a huge effort on the road in the first leg, Tuesday's hosts ground out a low-key win at the weekend, beating Hellas Verona by a goal to zero, thanks to a first-half penalty from irregular starter Kristjan Asllani, who typically features on the bench. That was Inter's first win in six games, so they should come into this second leg with renewed confidence.

As was to be expected, we saw both teams rest players at the weekend. For the hosts, pretty much every player who started the first leg was giving the game off at the weekend, with the likes of Federico Dimarco and Francesco Acerbi getting some minutes off the bench. Both are expected to start on Tuesday, while Marcus Thuram, Hakan Calhanoglu, Yann Sommer and Denzel Dumfries will all return too.
Unfortunately, Lautaro Martinez will miss out thanks to the injury sustained in the first leg.
As far as the visitors are concerned, Jules Kounde and Gavi are expected to be sidelined, though there are no other concerns, and they too were able to rest key players at the weekend. Lamine Yamal started on the bench against Valladolid but will start here, as will Raphinha, Ferran Torres and Wojciech Szczesny.
