The Indiana Fever (3-4) visit the Chicago Sky (2-4) on June 7, Saturday, at the Wintrust Arena.
This is the first Commissioner's Cup game for the Sky, while it's the second one for the Fever. The Fever, who are still without the injured Caitlin Clark, are coming off an 85-76 win over the Washington Mystics. Kelsey Mitchell led the team with 24 markers, with Lexie Hull and Aaliyah Boston as the other double-digit scores.
It was the first win for the Fever without Clark this season. So far, they've gone 1-2 without their sophomore superstar. Still, this is a dangerous team, as they're ranked fourth in both offensive rating (106.0) and defensive rating (99.3).
Meanwhile, the Sky are bouncing back big time after that horrid 0-4 start. They've won two straight games against the similarly-struggling Dallas Wings. In their most recent 94-83 victory, four players scored in double digits, with Ariel Atkins's 26 points leading the way.
There's a long way to go for the Sky, though. They still haven't beaten a true contender this season, and their second-worst defensive rating (113.4) is a big problem.
Along with Clark, Sophie Cunningham is also sitting out for the Fever. Meanwhile, the Sky will miss the services of Moriah Jefferson.
