There's a very interesting clash due to take place at the ATP event in Rotterdam on Wednesday, when Hubert Hurkacz and Alexander Bublik go head-to-head. There's been something of a role reversal here in recent times. In wasn't that long ago that Hurkacz was the palyer lurking around the top 10 and Bublik was down towards the bottom of the top 100, but as we stand in early 2026, it is the Kazakh player who is ranked at 10th, while the Polish competitor is now ranked at 70.
In fairness to Hurkacz, his current ranking is largely down to amount of time he spent injured last season, but he's now back and he'll be hoping to climb the rankings once again. These players know plenty about each other having clashed several times before. Interestingly, this will be the seventh time that they've met on a hard surface. Both players come into this match off the back of losses last time out and thus both will be looking to bounce back.

I've long been a big fan of Alexander Bublik. He's an entertainer and a wonderfully gifted player, but he's far from reliable, as we've seen recently. The Kazakh player has recently lost to both Valentin Vacherot and Alex De Minaur in straight sets, which tells me that he could quite easily struggle to get the best of Hubert Hurkacz, who now has a run of matches under his belt and can quite easily kick on.
Throw into the mix that Hurkacz has won each of his last six matches against Bublik and odds of +110 look a little too generous to ignore.
