The Houston Texans will try to keep their playoff hopes alive when they take on the Los Angeles Chargers on Saturday, December 27, at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, CA. Kickoff for this battle between AFC Contenders is scheduled for 4:30 p.m. EST with coverage provided by the NFL Network.

Houston got off to a very slow start this season, losing their first three right out of the gate. After the loss to the Broncos dropped their record to 3-5, the future looked grim, but then things changed, and they started stacking wins. With a 23-21 victory against the Raiders last week, their win streak sits at seven consecutive games.  A stellar defense has led the way, with the offense doing just enough to keep them on the right side of the scoreboard. A lackluster offensive line has struggled to open lanes for the run game, but hasn’t been bad when it comes to pass protection. C.J. Stroud has been sacked 23 times (20th in the league). As for the Chargers, it hasn’t always been pretty, and they have had to deal with a number of injuries. But they come into this game having won four in a row and seven of their last eight. They are fresh off a big win over the Dallas Cowboys in Arlington, 34-17. Prior to that, they edged out the Chiefs, 16-13, and beat the Eagles by three as well, 22-19.
