Two of the top teams in the NFC will collide on Sunday Night at Levi’s Stadium. The San Francisco 49ers (11-4) will host the Chicago Bears (11-4). Both teams are fighting to improve their spot in the NFC standings for the playoffs. Chicago also has the best chance at securing their division as well.
San Francisco is on a 5-game winning streak and coming off a 48-27 win over the Colts, in which Brock Purdy looked to be in the best form of the season. He finished with 295 passing yards, completed 73.5% of his passes, and tossed 5 touchdowns. Christian McCaffery chimed in with 117 yards on the ground and scored twice on catches from Purdy. This 49er team is one of the most complete teams in the NFC and has an offense scoring inside the top 10, while their defense is just outside at 11th in points allowed per game.
Chicago has been the surprise of the season. They are currently in 2nd place in the entire conference and have won 7 of their last 8 games. Their most recent win came over their division rivals, the Green Bay Packers. The Chicago offense was humming and finished with 400 total yards. On the season, Caleb Williams has not been all that impressive. However, he is not turning the ball over, which is all the offense has really needed.
This game should play like a playoff game due to all the implications it holds. And on paper, the matchup is as even as possible. Miscues and/or turnovers will play big roles in this matchup which could be an NFC Championship Game preview

Last week, we saw Purdy and company finally put everything together on offense. While this Bears defense is certainly better than the Colts', the total is over 50 points. Both offenses should shine, but we are going to back the one we feel is much hotter now.
