Germany takes on Great Britain on Monday, September 1, at the Tampere Deck Arena in Finland.
Great Britain defeated Germany twice during the 2022 EuroBasket Qualifiers, but things might be different on Monday.
Germany remains undefeated through three games, having defeated Montenegro, Sweden, and Lithuania. They most recently beat Lithuania, 107-88. The Germans raced to a 12-point lead in the first quarter and never looked back from there.
It was a balanced offensive attack that saw three Germans score at least 20 points. Veteran point guard Dennis Schroder topscored with 26 points, while young star Franz Wagner added 24. Daniel Theis was immaculate from the field, pouring in 23 points on a perfect 9-9 shooting, including 3-3 from beyond the arc.
Shapshooter Andreas Obst also made five three-pointers on his way to 15 points.
Meanwhile, Great Britain have not yet tallied a win in three games. Recently, they sustained a 109-79 loss to Lauri Markkanen and Finland. They couldn't stop Markkanen on the offensive end, spelling their doom early on.
Luke Nelson topscored for Great Britain with 13 points, while Myles Hesson added 12. However, their team defense allowed the Finnish to make 53.5% of their shots, including 18-36 from three-point territory.
