The Golden State Warriors (32-34) visit the New York Knicks (43-25) in an NBA 2025-26 matchup on Sunday, March 15, at Madison Square Garden.
Golden State claimed the sole head-to-head encounter earlier this season, securing a 126-113 victory on their home floor in January. The Warriors capitalized on a massive 32-point performance from Jimmy Butler III to outpace New York's defense in that initial meeting.
But of course, Butler has sustained a season-ending injury and will sit out on Sunday. It also doesn't help that the Warriors are on a four-game losing skid, and have lost six of their last seven games.
The Warriors are coming off a 127-117 loss to the Minnesota Timberwolves. Golden State's defense collapsed, allowing the Wolves to shoot 56.1% from the field, including 40% from the three-point line.
Moreover, the Warriors have a very long injury list on Sunday, with Butler, Steph Curry, Draymond Green, Al Horford, Kristaps Porzingis, Moses Moody, and De'Anthony Melton all sitting out.
On the flip side, the Knicks are coming off a 101-92 win over the Indiana Pacers. They also have a solid record of 23-9 at home.
