On Monday, the action in Miami, where the Miami Open is currently taking place, will begin to heat up. We've reached the second week, and now is the time for players to really begin thinking about going all the way. One player who is expected to do very well this week is Daniil Medvedev. The former winner of this event reached the final in Indian Wells recently, though he stuttered his way to victory against a lesser player during the previous round, which tells us that he could run into trouble against the very capable Francisco Cerundolo.
The Argentine, who is ranked inside the top 20, has previously thrived against the best players, while he hasn't made a habit of losing in straight sets on hard courts in recent times, so we shouldn't be hugely surprised if he pushes Medvedev here. That's exactly what I'm betting on him to do.

Our Francisco Cerundolo vs Daniil Medvedev Prediction
On the Miami Gardens courts, Daniil Medvedev can indeed be a formidable opponent, but he looked to be a little out of sorts against a much lower-ranked player during the last round, possibly suffering from a lack of confidence following his Indian Wells final defeat against Jannik Sinner. I'm certainly not saying that the Russian will fail here, though I am absolutely saying that his Argentine competitor has a better chance of making this a serious test than the early odds suggest.
Our Francisco Cerundolo vs Daniil Medvedev Pick: Francisco Cerundolo +1.5 Set Handicap.
