Emiliana Arango vs Marie Bouzkova Prediction & Picks - WTA Guadalajara

Despite reaching the final of this event a year ago, Emiliano Arango, who hadn't been in great form, went into her first-round match against Anastasia Potapova as a big underdog. She traded as big as +300 at one point before a ball was hit, though that didn't stop her proving that she's a serious competitor in Merida, winning in straight sets. She's now up against Marie Bouzkova, who is a higher-ranked player, but not a player in form. 

This will be the Czech player's first match at this tournament, and she doesn't exactly arrive off the back of a good run. Following her second-round exit at the Australian Open, Bouzkova lost at the first time of asking in Doha, before crashing out in the first round in Dubai too. She now needs to bounce back, but does a match against the woman who finished as the runner-up in Merida last year provide the best opportunity to do that? I'm far from convinced.
