Such a win does not necessarily point to success against a top 30 player. Mertens lost her last clay match, but she battled well against a strong Sloane Stephens, while we've recently seen her beat very good players such as Svitolina. Factor in her perfect record against Siniakova and it's not all that difficult to conclude that the Belgian should be shorter in the betting.
