On the WTA side of things at Roland Garros, the world number seven will get back out there on Friday, with Elina Svitolina aiming to secure a fourth-round spot at the French Open for the eighth time. Bidding to stop her doing that will be Tamara Korpatsch, who on paper doesn't have a massive chance here, but the German has been playing well of late, defeating the world number 34 during the second round.
Elina Svitolina has the quaity to get this done, and that's not exactly a unique viewpoint given that the Ukrainian is a very short price to emerge victorious. However, she was very up and down during the first round, and while she did beat a lower-ranked player in straight sets last time out, her recent efforts in general tell us that she might not be quite at the top of her game.
