At the WTA event in Prague, the Czech players are out in force. In recent times, very few countries have produced high-level WTA players like Czechia has, and we're seeing evidence of that this week. 22-year-old Salkova is yet another talent to come out of a country with a rich tennis history, and the youngster could be in for a big week on home soil. She's up against Oceane Dodin, who is no longer a youngster and is now all the way down in the 300's rank wise. 

At a lower level, the French player has been playing well on hard courts recently, but this is a step up. She's now facing a player who is not only playing on home soil, but a much higher-ranked player, a player who arrives here having won two qualifiers and a first-round match in straight sets. Given that she's just defeated top-50 player in straight sets, Salkova is worth betting on to get the job done in convincing style.
