Dino Prizmic of Croatia and Justin Engel of Germany will slug it out on Thursday, with the winner barging into the winner’s circle of the 2025 Next Gen Finals.

Prizmic is the favorite here at -175, but don’t easily count out Engel, who is aching to rebound after the thrashing he received from Alexander Blockx.

Prizmic suffered a four-set beatdown at the hands of Nishesh Basavareddy, 2-4, 3-4, 4-3, 2-4, to open his campaign at the Next Gen Finals. Prizmic’s inexperience in this stage showed up, allowing the returning Basavareddy to capitalize on his errors and miscalculations. Despite firing 14 aces, Prizmic still conceded three service breaks to Basavareddy.

Engel got an eye-opener in his first match against Alexander Blockx after losing to the No.2 seed 4-3, 2-4, 2-4, 2-4. The 18-year-old Engel came out hot to take the first set, but the young German could not sustain his fine play as Blockx raised his level of play in the final three sets. Engel won 32 points behind the first ball but surrendered three service breaks in the match.
