On Tuesday, the Tigers lost to the Brewers but have won each of their last four series, and on Wednesday, they face another decisive game in the afternoon against the Brewers. In Game 1, the Tigers came out confidently, with their Cy Young Award winner, Skubal, leading the way, and won 9-1. However, a shaky start by Flaherty, his first bad start of the year, resulted in a 0-5 loss in Game 2 against the Brewers, which ended a three-game losing streak.
While the Tigers managed just one hit in their worst offensive game of 2025, the Brewers managed nine, with Hoskins having his first big game of the season, going 3-for-4 with two RBIs. The Brewers had five BBs, and no player other than Hoskins had more than one hit.
Keider Montero will start Game 3 for the Tigers, as the manager attempts to give his starters an extra day of rest before embarking on a demanding schedule over the next 30 days.
