The Detroit Pistons (48-19) visit the Washington Wizards (16-51) in an NBA 2025-26 matchup on Tuesday, March 17, at Capital One Arena.
Detroit and Washington have surprisingly split their two head-to-head encounters this season. The Pistons notched a 137-135 overtime win early in November, but the Wizards flipped the script a few months later, securing a 126-117 upset victory in February right on Detroit's home floor.
The Eastern Conference-leading Pistons are coming off a 119-108 loss to the Toronto Raptors on Sunday, where defensive lapses and foul trouble plagued them. Cade Cunningham had 33 points in the loss, while Jalen Duren hauled in a double-double of 20 points and 11 rebounds.
The Pistons will miss the services of backup big man Isaiah Stewart, who is recovering from a calf injury.
The Wizards are also fresh off a 125-117 loss to the Golden State Warriors at home on Monday night. Bilal Coulibaly had one of his more balanced offensive performances of the season, pacing the team with 21 points.
Since this is the second leg of a back-to-back schedule, Wizards star Trae Young might not play on Tuesday. The Wizards will also miss Anthony Davis, Kyshawn George, D'Angelo Russell, and Cam Whitmore.
