Dayana Yastremska of Ukraine shoots for a place in the quarterfinals of the 2025 MSC Hamburg Open against Dalma Galfi of Hungary on Friday.
Yastremska has flexed her dominance in this tournament as the No.2 seed posted another quick straight-set win over Diane Parry of France 6-1 6-4. The Ukrainian wasted no time asserting her superiority, unleashing a flurry of winner that had her French foe completely overwhelmed. Yastremska finished the match four breakpoint conversions and conceded only one service breaks.
Galfi also made it to the quarterfinal round after rallying from a set down to beat Nastasja Mariana Schunk of Germany in the second round 1-6 6-3 6-2. The win propelled Galfi to her 6th quarterfinal appearance this year and second straight WTA 250 quarterfinals after also reaching the final eight in her previous tourney at Bastad.
