After a superb campaign on their return to the English Premier League last season, Sunderland have faltered at the start of this one. They sit bottom of the EPL table, winning just one league game so far. They've had more success in the Cups, heading into this one on the back of a 3-2 win in the Carabao Cup against Brentford, but their league form leaves a lot to be desired. The Black Cats face newly promoted Coventry City, who sit just a point and a place above Sunderland in the Premier League standings. After two fantastic wins against Nottingham Forest and Newcastle United, the Sky Blues' form took a nosedive and they've lost their last two fixtures. 

Neither side tends to score many, in the EPL at least. These two teams, along with Nottingham Forest, are the lowest scorers in the league this season, scoring just six times in eight matches.

For our prediction, we think this fixture will follow suit. We're expecting a tight affair with very few goals scored.
