After brushing aside Taylor Townsend during the first round, the multiple Grand Slam winner is up against Maiar Sherif, who is at her best on clay, though that likely won't bother the defending champion, who knows all about beating lower-ranked players with ease.
Maiar Sherif has had several matches to get used to the conditions in the French capital, while she played well to beat Dalma Galfi in straight sets during the first round, despite being 5-2 down in the first set. However, Galfi is nowhere near on Gauff's level and there's simply no way we can expect the Egyptian to get close to beating Gauff, who can blow her opponent away in style.
