Seattle Storm (8-5) and Connecticut Sun (2-11) will clash in an inter-conference game at the Climate Pledge Arena. This will be the last of Seattle Storm's three-game homestand, starting with tricky assignments against the Liberty and the Fever. Prior to that, they picked up two vital road victories against the Sparks and the Aces to retain their third spot in the Western Conference. Winning these home assignments could push them even further up in the league standings.
Connecticut Sun, meanwhile, has been in shambles this season after letting go of their starting players during the offseason. During the offseason, they traded off veterans like Alyssa Thomas and DeWanna Bonner, with the team still searching for its identity this season. In addition, the uncertainty over ownership and relocation hasn't created a motivating atmosphere in the squad. Most will say their struggles this season are unsurprising.
