The Connecticut Sun (0-3) visit the Atlanta Dream (2-2) on May 25, Sunday, at the Gateway Center Arena in College Park, Georgia.
It has been a disappointing start of the season for the Dream, who had higher expectations following the acquisitions of Brittney Griner and Brionna Jones. They currently hold a 2-2 win-loss slate, splitting their mini-series against the Indiana Fever, losing to the Washington Mystics, and winning against the Dallas Wings last night.
Allisha Gray led the Dream's charge in their 83-75 victory over the Wings. Gray scored 27 points on four made three-pointers, while also adding five rebounds and six assists. The other double-digit scorers were Griner and Jones, who contributed 15 and 11 markers, respectively.
As for the Sun, they're struggling as expected. They lost all their three assignments to open the season, with the latest a 76-70 loss to the Minnesota Lynx. Marina Mabrey topscored for the Sun with 22 markers.
Currently, the Sun is ranked 11th in offensive rating (92.5) and 10th in defensive rating (107.9). That's not a good position to be in.
Te-Hina Paopao and Jordina Canada will miss the game for the Dream, while Lindsay Allen and Leila Lecan are ruled out for the Sun.
