Clara Tauson vs Ajla Tomljanovic Prediction & Picks - WTA Athens, Greece Women Singles

One of the WTA tournaments starting on Monday comes our way from the wonderfully historic city of Athens. In the Greek capital, Clara Tauson and Ajla Tomljanovic will do business, and although this may seem like a great opportunity for the higher-ranked player, we should not be surprised if it is the lower-ranked competitor who gets the job done. 

Now, if we look at the rankings, we may assume that this is something of an easy match for Clara Tauson, who is ranked much higher than her Australian opponent. However, Ajla Tomljanovic is definitely at her best on a hard surface, and on this surface, she's definitely a better player than the rankigns would have us believe. You could even argue that she's a better hard-court player than Tauson. At the very least, the Aussie seems to have the measure of the Dane on hard surfaces, winning four of her previous five hard-court matches against Monday's opponent.
