Next Tuesday night will be a fantastic opportunity for the Toronto Maple Leafs to earn points at home, as they will play against the Chicago Blackhawks, a team that has been one of the most irregular in the most recent NHL seasons. Nonetheless, it cannot be ignored that this has also been a terrible season for the Maple Leafs, so earning a dominant victory is unlikely to happen.

In this regard, it must be noted that the Toronto Maple Leafs have a two-game losing streak, it being concerning that those defeats were suffered when playing at home against Western Conference teams like the Edmonton Oilers and the San Jose Sharks. With this in mind, the Maple Leafs are expected to increase their defensive effectiveness, as most of the issues they have faced this season were caused by the large number of goals they have conceded.
