Team Great Britain and Team Brazil will play their fourth and final match at the 2026 WBC on Monday evening. Great Britain have had a disappointing campaign, losing all three assignments so far and crashing out of the tournament. They started strongly against Italy, taking the first inning 2-0, before collapsing in the fourth and fifth innings to trail 7-2. Even a late surge wasn’t enough to save them from a 7-4 defeat.
Brazil, meanwhile, were eliminated from this tournament by Team Mexico after enduring a heavy 16-0 defeat. It was a disappointing outing for the South Americans, who only managed two hits throughout the game. Earlier, Brazil suffered heavy 15-5 and 8-0 defeats against the United States and Italy, respectively. Still, they’ll be eager to exit this competition in style with a win on Monday.
