Tampa Bay Rays will open the American League Championship Series with a home game against Cleveland Guardians on Monday night at Tropicana Field. The Rays are coming off a 4-3 win over the Yankees to complete a 3-game division series sweep and book a date with the Guardians. This will be the first time since 2020 that the Rays are reaching the ALCS, and they’ll be eager to start strongly at home. Tampa Bay Rays are the -175 betting favorites tonight.
Cleveland Guardians, meanwhile, needed a Game 5 win to knock out the White Sox and proceed to the ALCS. They dug themselves out of a 0-2 hole to take the final three games, including a 2-0 win on Saturday at Progressive Field. The Guardians produced an exemplary pitching performance, limiting the Sox to just a single scoring opportunity in the sixth. They’ll be keen to pull off an upset as the +130 betting underdogs tonight.
