The Boston Celtics aim to build a 3-0 lead over the Orlando Magic when their best-of-seven Eastern Conference first-round series shifts to the Kia Center on Friday.
The Celtics grinded out 109-100 win over the roughhousing Magic in Game 2 without their franchise player Jayson Tatum, who sat out on Wednesday due to a bone bruise. Jaylen Brown stepped up to the plate and delivered a game-high 36 points on 12 of 19 shooting. Kristaps Porzingis, whose forehead was cut open after an inadvertent elbow from Giga Bitadze, also contributed 20 points in the win.
Meanwhile, the Magic scored 100 points in Game 2 after finishing with 86 in Game 1. Paolo Banchero and Franz Wagner once again led the charge for Orlando, who shot 7 for 29 from beyond the arc. Banchero tallied 32 points and Wagner added 25 for the offensively-challenged Magic.
