The Boston Celtics (0-2) visit the Detroit Pistons (1-1) in an NBA 2025-26 game on Sunday, October 26, at the Little Caesars Arena.
The Pistons return home for the first time this season, as they host their conference rivals. They surprisingly lost their first game against the Chicago Bulls, but bounced back with a 115-111 victory over the Houston Rockets.
It was a balanced offensive attack that saw five players scoring in double digits for the Pistons. Cade Cunningham struggled with eight turnovers, but still finished with a team-high 21 points and 9 assists. Ausar Thompson added 19, while newly-acquired sharpshooter Duncan Robins fired four treys on his way to 17 markers.
The Pistons defense also managed to limit Rockets All-Star center Alperen Sengun, who only produced 17 points on a measly 27.8% shooting.
Meanwhile, the Celtics are coming off back-to-back losses, the most recent one a 105-95 defeat at the hands of the New York Knicks. They actually led by eight points after the opening period, but a 42-14 explosion from the Knicks blew the game wide open.
Jaylen Brown led the charge for the Celtics with his 23 points, but he also committed seven turnovers in the loss. Sam Hauser contributed 18 markers on 6-10 three-point shooting, and Derrick White had 15.
