The former US Open winner is targeting a deep run in Austin 125 following a three-set setback against Kamila Rakhimova 7-6, 0-6, 1-6 in the first round of the 2026 Indian Wells Open.
Meanwhile, Aussie teen sensation Emerson Jones advanced to the quarterfinals of the Austin 125 after sweeping Donna Vekic 6-3, 7-6. The 17-year-old Jones won 33 points behind the first serves and broke Vekic four times in the match. Jones had also defeated fellow Aussie Madison Inglis 6-4, 6-1 in the opening round.
