Of these two players, it is surely Arthur Fils who will be much more keen to get back down to business on the clay. The Frenchman certainly played well at Wimbledon, making the fourth round, putting up more of a fight against De Minaur than Munar did in the second round, that's for sure. This is also a player who had been in quite hot clay-court form prior to the brief switch to grass.
In contrast, Munar wasn't playing his best tennis on clay before the focus turned to grass, while he struggled when the pair last met. Factor in Fils' positive recent record against lower-ranked players and it's not overly difficult to envisage the French player winning with a bit in hand here. I'd even argue that the current odds don't quite reflet the dispairty in quality accurately enough. In other words, betting on a Fils win represents a slice of value for money.
