Following what was a superb display in the Spanish capital of Madrid, where she went all the way to the final, Mirra Andreeva will begin her journey at the Italian Open on Thursday, when she'll take on Antonia Ruzic in the historic city of Rome. Can the Russian youngster continue to show that she's one of the best in the business? Almost certainly so.
We saw Andreeva play well in Rome last year, before exiting to the eventual runner-up, which combined with her recent form, suggests that she's in for another pleasing week or so. Antonia Ruzic has already played a match in Rome, but she wasn't too convincing, needing three sets against a much lesser player than Andreeva. The Croatian also struggled massively when she faced a top-25 player recently, leaving us to believe that she'll come up short by some margin here.

Our Antonia Ruzic vs Mirra Andreeva Prediction
There's a clear gap in quality here, that's for sure. It doesn't really matter than Andreeva went down to Kostyuk in the Mutua Madrid Open at the end of last week, as this is a far easier task than that was, and given how the young Russian has performed in similar matches of late, she can be expected to defeat Antonia Ruzic by a comfortable margin, or rather she can be more expected to do so than early odds of -115 suggest.
Our Antonia Ruzic vs Mirra Andreeva Pick: Mirra Andreeva -6.5 Game Handicap.
