Lois Boisson of France will take on Anna Bondar of Hungary for all the marbles at the 2025 MSC Hamburg Open on Saturday.

After crashing out in her first qualifying match at Wimbledon Open, which was followed by a second-round flameout at the Nordea Open, Boisson has returned to form in Hamburg, scoring four impressive wins, none bigger than her 6-1 7-6(5) victory over No.2 seed Dayana Yastremska in the semifinal. Boisson demonstrated why she’s a force to be reckoned with on the clay court, dictating the tempo by collecting 29 points off the first serves and 19 off the second. Boisson conceded only one service break in the entire match while breaking Yastremska’s serves three times.

Bondar followed up her upset win over No.1 seed Ekaterina Alexandrova with another gritty three-set win over Kaja Juvan of Slovenia, 5-7 6-3 6-4. Bondar traded breaks with Juvan, but the 22 points she won off the second serves made all the difference in this tight battle. With the victory, Bondar has arranged a third career showdown with Boisson. They split the first two previous encounters, with Boisson winning the first one and Bondar leveling the head-to-head in the second.
