Anna Bondar vs Elina Svitolina Prediction & Picks - WTA Mutua Madrid Open

At the WTA event in Madrid, on Thursday, there's a very intriguing showdown between Anna Bondar and Elina Svitolina. The Hungarian is being priced as a big outsider here, which isn't too surprising given that she's up against the world number seven, but Svitolina hasn't exactly made the most fluent start to the clay-court season, so there's a chance that Bondar is being underestimated by the early market. 

If both players arrive at their best, then Svitolina wins this, it's that simple, but Bondar is probably better prepared having played more recent clay-court tennis than her opponent, who comes here off the back of a loss. Moreover, Bondar should fancy herself to compete having won when the pair last met, while when they met on clay last year, Svitolina only won by three games, so it won't be a total shock if this ends up being less straightforward for the Ukrainian than the early odds suggest.
