There's a rather interesting clash between two players who've never really fulfilled sizable potential, or rather a match between two players who were both expected to reach the very top of the game but haven't quite managed it. Alexander Bublik and Stefanos Tsitsipas will meet at the Mutua Madrid Open, playing on clay for the first time.
At present, it is Bublik who is ranked much higher than his opponent, but there's probably not quite as much between the pair as the current rankings suggest. In fact, neither player arrives in great form, but given that he's arguably the better clay-court player and the fact the Greek competitor has previously reached the final of this event, Tsitsipas looks a little generously priced.

Firstly, Tsitsipas likes Madrid and has previously reached the final in the Spanish capital. Secondly, he's a better clay-court player than Bublik, who is at his best on other surfaces. Moreover, the Greek has a 100% record against Bublik, albeit not on clay.
