Alexander Blockx of Belgium will go toe-to-toe with Nicolai Budkov Kjaer of Norway in the first semifinal match of the 2025 Next Gen Finals on Saturday in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.

The talented Belgian dropped only two sets in Jeddah, as he defeated Justin Engel 3–4(7–9), 4–2, 4–2, 4–2, Nishesh Basavareddy 4–3(7–2), 4–3(10–8), 4–1 and Dino Prizmic 4–3(7–4), 2–4, 4–2, 4–0. Ranked 116th in the world, Blockx has improved his indoor record to 22-10 in 2025.

Kjaer also advanced to the semifinal round after finishing with a 2-1 record in his group. Kjaer bested Spaniard Martin Landaluce 4–1, 3–4(7–9), 4–2, 4–3(7–4) and Rafael Jodar 4–1, 4–2, 1–4, 4–2 before falling to the No.1 seed Learner Tien 4–3(7–2), 1–4, 2–4, 2–4. Kjaer is 24-11 in indoor matches in 2025.
