As the French Open second-round starts to get into full swing on Wednesday, there's a match involving one of the ATPs top ten players. Alex De Minaur is the current world number seven, and after performing very well at Roland Garros a year ago, the Aussie will be looking to go all the way this time around. He began the tournament with a convincing straight-set win against a lower-ranked player, and while this match against an improving Alexander Blockx is a tougher task, he should have enough in the tank to get over the line. 

After all, this is not the first time that the pair have met in 2026, and it's not the first time that they've met on a clay surface. When they played each other at the ATP event in Monte Carlo back in April, De Minaur won in straight sets, proving that there is indeed a gap in quality between the two. Expect that gap in quality to once again be evident.
