The UEFA Champions League serves up some big games on Wednesday evening. Spice up the action with some interesting player props.

Where to look for value on Wednesday?

The competition is really starting to heat up as 16 of Europe’s biggest and best teams prepare to battle it out for a place in the UEFA Champions League quarter-finals.

As the above shows, some of the biggest names that the European game has to offer will be on show this week, but who will impress the most? We’ll soon find out.

And now for the main event. Looking at the early lines from our best sportsbooks, the following player props tick all the boxes:

Bodo/Glimt vs Sporting: Jens Petter Hauge 1+ Shots on Target

The wonderful story of Bodo/Glimt continues on Wednesday, when the minnows from the furthest reaches of northern Norway take on Sporting from the Portuguese capital of Lisbon in front of a home crowd.

Using their rather unique home advantage to good effect has certainly helped the men in yellow in the UCL this season, and they’ll once again be looking to make the most of playing on home soil against a team that won’t be too familiar with Wednesday’s conditions.

One of the standout performers for Bodo/Glimt on the continent this season has been Jens Petter Hauge, who currently has seven UCL goals and assists to his name. Last time out, as his team saw off Italian giants Inter, the winger/forward was in fine form, scoring both home and away.

Ahead of this clash, he looks rather generously priced to register a shot on target at odds of -120. After all, this is a man who has taken 16 shots since the beginning of the League Phase. In front of a home crowd, Hauge has been at his best in a shooting sense, firing off ten shots, registering five on target.

Having already shot on target at home against Tottenham, Monaco, Man City and Inter this season, the 26-year-old should be priced a good bit shorter and is thus absolutely worth betting on to shoot on target here all the time -120 is on offer.

PSG vs Chelsea: Joao Pedro 1+ Shots on Target

In the French capital, 2025 UCL winners PSG will host Chelsea in what should be a fascinating clash. Chelsea boss Liam Rosenior cut his teeth in Ligue 1, so he knows all about taking on the Parisian giants, and he may just have a plan for hurting the forward-pressing hosts on the break.

One Chelsea player who should definitely enjoy himself on the counter in a likely open game is Joao Pedro. The Brazilian forward is Chelsea’s top scorer in all competitions, with 18 goals to his name, while he’s also the second-most prolific shot taker for the Blues, averaging 2.29 per 90, as well as 1.03 shots on target per 90.

In recent weeks, he’s really had his shooting boots on, registering at least one shot on target in each of his last five, firing off multiple shots on target on the road against big teams such as Arsenal and Aston Villa.

Given the level that he’s been operating at in recent weeks, coupled with the fact that he’ll clearly enjoy the counter-offensive nature of this game, Joao Pedro is just too generously priced to hit the target at odds of -130.

PSG vs Chelsea: Pedro Neto 1+ Shots on Target

Neto

In the same game, I’m also going to recommend a shot-on-target bet on Chelsea Pedro Neto, who just like his Brazilian colleague, should absolutely love hitting the high-pressing hosts on the break, so much so that odds of +105 are well worth snapping up.

Neto hasn’t scored in the UCL yet this season, but he hasn’t exactly been shy to shoot, firing off an average of 2.08 shots per 90 minutes. He’s also averaging 0.83 shots on target per 90 in this competition, while he often does a lot of his best work when Chelsea can play on the break in big away games.

This season, we’ve seen Neto shoot on target away from home against the likes of Newcastle, Arsenal, Tottenham and Barcelona. At odds of +105, I’m betting that he can add PSG to that list.
