Best Goal Scorer Bets for Champions League Matchday 4
by Sam Cox | by Tyler Doty
Matchday four of the Champions League kicks off with Arsenal visiting Slavia Prague and Napoli hosting Eintracht Frankfurt on Tuesday. Five teams, including Arsenal, have 100% records through the first three gameweeks, while three other teams are also undefeated.
Twelve teams, including Juventus, Benfica, Bayer Leverkusen, and Ajax, are winless through the first three rounds of fixtures. Along with the teams with 100% records, Chelsea, Newcastle, and Borussia Dortmund are coming into this week’s matches off back-to-back wins in the world’s premier club competition.
Here are our favorite goal scorer bets for Tuesday and Wednesday’s matches:
Erling Haaland To Score Two or More Goals (+290)
Erling Haaland had another brace at the weekend. After a down year by his standards with only 31 goals in 2024-25, the Norwegian is back to his unstoppable best with 17 goals across 13 matches in the Premier League and Champions League.
Dortmund have had some good defensive performances of late, but that doesn’t mean they can keep their former star quiet. Haaland has already had eight matches this season with multiple goals for club and country.
Three of his last five outings have finished with a brace or better. Add another three matches and it’s multiple goals in five out of eight.
Harry Kane Anytime Goalscorer (-105)
Scorer of five goals in three Champions League matches and with 17 goals in 12 appearances across the Champions League and Bundesliga, Harry Kane to score has been one of the safest bets in European soccer.
PSG have conceded eight goals in their last seven matches across all competitions. Their 4.1 expected goals against in the Champions League puts them in mid-table, while leading the competition with 10.8 expected goals generated.
Kane is averaging 5.3 shots per Champions League match, and only two players have a higher expected goals mark.
Youssoufa Moukoko Anytime Goalscorer (+480)
Scorer of a hat-trick in the Danish Cup last week and having converted a penalty at the weekend, Youssoufa Moukoko is a man in form. The 20-year-old is facing a Tottenham team that was thoroughly outclassed by Chelsea at the weekend.
Spurs’ underlying numbers have been mediocre in the Premier League. They are unbeaten in the Champions League, yet they have conceded 5.4 expected goals across three matches.
Once a teenage phenom, Moukoko didn’t develop as quickly as Dortmund hoped, but he’s still incredibly young and has shown his goal-scoring touch of late.
Victor Osimhen Anytime Goalscorer (-120)
Hammered 5-1 by Chelsea last time out, Ajax haven’t kept a clean sheet since August. Just five teams have generated more expected goals than Galatasaray, and Victor Osimhen is tied for the second-most expected goals in the competition.
Traditionally, Ajax would be heavy favorites. Turkish clubs, in general, haven’t travelled well. Ajax have usually been formidable at home and had a clear edge over teams from lesser leagues.
Osimhen has three goals in his last three matches, including a brace on Champions League matchday three. He took six shots, one of which hit the woodwork, in Galatasaray’s goalless draw with Trabzonspor at the weekend.
Anthony Gordon Anytime Goalscorer (+200)
Kane and Kylian Mbappé are the only players with more goals than Anthony Gordon in the 2025-26 Champions League. Gordon’s Premier League form has been hit-and-miss, but he’s been at his electric best in the Champions League.
Newcastle have the seventh-most expected goals, and Athletic Club conceded three goals to Real Sociedad last time out.
The glamor of the Champions League has brought the best out of Gordon. He’s averaging 2.7 shots per match (more than in any competition in any previous season), and he’s been beating players more frequently with 2.3 dribbles per match.
