NFL Week 6: MNF Player Props for Commanders vs Bears
by Tyler Doty | by Tyler Doty

Chicago Bears fans don’t need — or want — much of a reminder about last season’s meeting with Washington. The Bears’ defense botched a Hail Mary attempt, allowing the Commanders to steal the win. From there, the teams went in very different directions. Washington ended its season in the NFC championship game; Chicago fired its coach after Thanksgiving and finished last in its division.
Let's look at some intriguing props for MNF:
Caleb Williams, Over 236.5 Passing Yards (-114, FanDuel)
The Commanders looked better against Justin Herbert last week, but they have mostly struggled against the pass. Michael Penix Jr., Geno Smith and Jordan Love all carved up the Washington defense for nearly 300 yards passing, with the lowest total being 289 through the air. All three also threw for multiple touchdowns, making Williams over 1.5 scores (+102 at FanDuel) a nice play for above even money.
Chicago doesn’t run the football very well, ranking 30th on the ground. That speaks to the trust they have in Williams, who has looked much better in his second season as a pro and his first under coach Ben Johnson. If the Bears are going to have any chance in this game, Williams needs to make a difference. He’ll do that through the air.
Jayden Daniels, Under 42.5 Rushing Yards (-114, FanDuel)
The Commanders don’t love when Daniels takes off with the football. He’ll do it when it makes sense, which it did in the season-opening win over the Giants. But for the most part, Washington is more comfortable when Daniels opts for the passing option, as they want to keep their prized investment in one piece.
Chicago doesn’t have a good run defense, which would seem to set up Daniels to move the ball on the ground. But last week, Jacory Croskey-Merritt rushed for 111 yards against the Chargers, while Daniels only had 39. If Croskey-Merritt can run the ball that well against the Bears — which should happen, given how Chicago has struggled with its run defense — Daniels won’t have to take off very often.
Chicago also doesn’t generate a lot of pressure, which means Daniels should have time to make his reads. If so, he’ll be able to sit back and throw. That’s where Dan Quinn and Kliff Kingsbury want the game to be, and that’s what should happen.
Chicago to Win the First Quarter (+118, FanDuel)
The Bears get off to fast starts; the Commanders do not. Only Philadelphia has scored more points in the first quarter in 2025 than Chicago, which has averaged 7.8 points per game in the opening 15 minutes. Washington averages a full five points less, as the Commanders tend to take their time to settle into the game.
As the road team and the underdog, the Bears have favorable odds in the first 15 minutes. Chicago tends to have more trouble in the middle of the game before putting things together in the fourth quarter, so this is a great way to take them early and get out quickly before Washington has a chance to get established.
