The 2025 Women's Copa America will be the tenth time that the top Women's teams in the CONMEBOL region face off to claim the trophy. Here's a look at the format and schedule for this year's tournament, hosted in Ecuador.

When is the 2025 Women's Copa America?

The Women's Copa América 2025 will kick off on Friday, July 11 with the opening match between Ecuador and Uruguay. The final match will be played on Saturday, August 2.

What is the format of the Copa America Femenina 2025?

For the first phase, the ten participating teams will be divided into two groups of five teams each. It will be played in a round-robin system, so each team will play at least four matches. On each date, one team will be left free due to the fact that each zone has an odd number of teams.

The points system will be the usual (three for the winner and one for a tie). As for qualification to the next round, the first and second place teams will advance and will face each other in the semifinals, while the two third place teams will define the fifth place. Then, the losers of the semis will also play for third place, while the winners will play in the grand final.

Which teams are playing at the 2025 Women's Copa America?
