The second round of AFCON group fixtures begins on Friday, and it's all to play for as Zambia take on Comoros in a crucial Group A fixture in Casablanca.
Comoros put up a brave, but ultimately unsuccessful, fight in their opening game against tournament favorites Morocco. After keeping the hosts at bay for the first 55 minutes, Comoros were eventually undone by fine strikes from Brahim Diaz and Ayoub El Kaabi.
Meanwhile, Zambia opened their campaign with a dramatic 1-1 draw against Mali. The Zambians looked to be heading for defeat when Lassine Sinayoko gave Mali the lead on the hour mark. However, a stoppage-time strike from Patson Daka secured a precious point for Zambia, meaning that a victory on Friday will give them a fantastic chance of reaching the last 16 for the first time since 2012.

Zambia - Comoros: Form Analysis
Zambia have endured a terrible run of form over the last nine months and have now won just one of their last 14 games. The point against Mali ended a run of four successive defeats, but once again highlighted a distinct lack of attacking firepower. In their last 11 matches, Zambia have averaged less than a goal per game, and unless boss Moses Sichone can find a solution to that issue, it is hard to see his side progressing far in the tournament.
Comoros in a slump
Comoros also come into Friday's game in terrible form. Their opening day defeat to Morocco was their fourth loss on the spin. Defense has been the big issue for Comoros during that run of poor results, and they have now conceded a whopping 14 goals in their last five fixtures.

Centre back Stoppila Sunzu is Zambia's only real injury concern. The Changchun Yatai defender missed the Morocco game with an illness and is unlikely to be available for selection in time for Friday's game. As such, Moses Sichone is likely to name an unchanged starting eleven, with Patson Daka once again leading the attack.
