The Denver Nuggets look to avenge their earlier loss to the Washington Wizards when the two teams meet for the second and last time this season at Ball Arena on Saturday.
The Nuggets have gone 6-5 since racking up nine wins in a row in February. Powered by another dazzling all-around performance from Nikola Jokic, the Nuggets outslugged an undermanned Los Angeles Lakers without Luka Doncic and LeBron James, 131-126. Jokic finished the game with 28 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists, while Jamal Murray continued to be a pain in the neck for the Lakers, scoring 26 points on 9 for 16 shooting.
The Wizards have won three of their last five games, including a 129-125 win in their rematch with the Detroit Pistons on March 13. Seven Wizards players scored in double-digit figures led by 19 points from No.2 overall pick Alex Sarr. Jordan Poole and Justin Champaigne recorded 17 points each for Washington, who avenged a 103-123 loss to the Pistons two days ago.
