Washington Spirit and Portland Thorns will return from the break with an exciting league game at Audi Field. Following inconsistent results this season, the Spirit have failed to catch up with KC Current at the top of the standings. The 2024 finalists went into the break in fourth spot with 23 points, 10 points behind KC Current and two behind the second-placed Orlando Pride.
