A battle between two NFC East teams will take place in Dallas this weekend. The 2-3-1 Dallas Cowboys will defend their home turf against the 3-3 Washington Commanders. Dallas is coming off an embarrassing loss last week to the Carolina Panthers (30-27). They allowed Bryce Young to toss 3 touchdown passes and saw their former running back, Rico Dowdle go off for over 230 total yards and a score. Dak Prescott and George Pickens held up their end by combing for 168 of the team’s 261 passing yard while Pickens also caught 1 of Dak’s 3 touchdown passes. The defense for the Cowboys just continues to be the weak link. For the Commanders, they are coming off a tough last second loss to the Chicago Bears last Monday Night. After trailing 13-0 early, they stormed back and took a 24-16 lead, only to see Caleb Williams and company erase it in the 4th quarter and Jake Moody seal the deal with a walk off 38-yard field goal. In the loss, the Commanders lost the turnover battle 0-3 and that directly correlated to the final scoring being what it was. They will need to take better care of the ball in this one if they want to keep pace with the high scoring Cowboys offense.
