Bookmakers have struggled to set the odds for the unpredictable Marlins and Nationals, who will face each other in their first weekend series of the 2025 season starting Friday.

The Marlins' lineup, with key absences Jesús Sanchez and Noorby, was expected to be one of the worst, but it has responded well, averaging a decent 3.6 runs per game and a solid 8.1 hits per game. It has held a 6-6 record so far this season. Edwards has performed well as the team's leadoff hitter, getting plenty of pitches out and posting a .283 AVG in 46 ABs.

But the Nationals have also hit several home runs, specifically 16 to start the season. They won two of three games against the Dodgers and covered the run line in all three. However, they had a poor showing when they came out of Nationals Park this season and were swept by the Blue Jays.
