The Washington Nationals (32-35 SU, 41-26 ATS) look to extend their win streak to six as they go for a sweep of the Detroit Tigers (32-35 SU, 30-37 ATS). The Tigers' biggest problem as of late has been run prevention, as they haven't been able to count on the bullpen to get outs. The starters have also had some trouble outside of Tarek Skubal as of late, as Jack Flaherty exited with back tightness Tuesday.
Casey Mize has mostly been a solid pitcher, but he's struggled in recent weeks. The Royals bombed him for six runs on May 21, and while giving up a combined eight runs to Toronto, Milwaukee and Boston could have been worse, Mize only got out of the fifth inning one time. He's also not missing bats, striking out just seven over his past four games.
